Plaas van Passie Teasers October 2025:– Plaas van Passie (translated as Land of Passion). The original Portuguese title is Terra e Paixão (Land of Desire in English). With this, kykNET&kie becomes the first local channel to dub a Brazilian telenovela into Afrikaans.
Story
Plaas van Passie tells the story of Aline (played by Barbara Reis), a mathematics teacher whose husband, Samuel (Ítalo Martins), is murdered on their farm by criminals who want his land. Although she has no farming experience, Aline decides — with the help of her loyal friend Jonatas (Paulo Lessa) and support from her mother, Jussara (Tatiana Tibúrcio) — to do everything she can to keep the farm for herself and her son, João (Matheus Assis). Her greatest opposition comes from the land baron Antônio La Selva (Tony Ramos), the man responsible for Samuel’s death.
But things become even more complicated when love enters the picture. Aline crosses paths with Daniel (Johnny Massaro), one of Antônio’s sons. Things get messy when Caio (Cauã Reymond), Daniel’s half-brother — who is his complete opposite — also sets his sights on Aline. Caio’s mother, Agatha (Graça Junqueira), died during childbirth, and Antônio has never forgiven him for it.
Irene (Glória Pires), Antônio’s wife and the mother of Daniel and Petra (Débora Ozório), and Caio’s stepmother, is power-hungry and will stop at nothing to ensure that only Daniel and Petra inherit the family business.

Plaas van Passie was filmed in Mato Grosso do Sul, a state in Brazil, and originally aired in 2023. The series consists of 120 hour-long episodes.
Plaas van Passie premieres on 18 March at 20:00 on kykNET&kie (DStv channel 145), and will also be available on DStv Stream and DStv Catch Up.
