Yuvan explains that since she is a new bride, he did not want to burden her. Yuvan agrees and notices that Banni is hurt, applying ointment to her wound and apologizing, calling himself a bad husband.

Banni reassures Yuvan that he is a good husband and apologizes for not wearing his mother Vandana’s clothes earlier. She promises to wear Vandana’s dress, but Yuvan worries that people downstairs may laugh at her since he failed in his responsibility as a husband.
